Micah’s research interest lies in studying ageing and health. Specifically, he is interested in understanding and identifying the factors that shape health outcomes and behaviors among older adults over the life course. One particular area that he is interested in exploring is how institutional trust (dis)accumulates over the life course to shape health behaviors in mid- to later life. Prior to joining the program, Micah worked as a research associate studying ageing and health in Singapore for several years. His work has been published in Social Science and Medicine and the Journal of Family Psychology, and he has also published numerous policy briefs as a research associate advising health and ageing policy in Singapore that garnered mentions in the local media. He completed a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honors) in Sociology at the National University of Singapore in 2018, as well as Master of Science in Social Anthropology at the University of Oxford in 2019.
